UDV ITALY

The art pieces created in Italy draw inspiration from the landscape, including the olive, cypress, and mulberry trees, the sea and port, the Adriatic beach, rolling hills, and the charming presence of doves, pigeons, dogs, and people. The iconic Piccionaia logo, a pigeon designed by my father, architect and designer V.Hierl, serves as a recurring stencil motif.

My artistic process involves using multi-layered paints mixed with oils on canvas, which are later washed off with water and dried in the sun and winds of the rural Abruzzo region. These elements form the foundation for each painting's storyline.

To emphasize a sense of connection with nature and sustainability, I use cotton fabric or linen canvases in their natural color. These canvases are hand-stretched on self-made wooden frames, reflecting the essence of creative craftsmanship in each artwork.

RIPATTONI ARTE 2024

"Ripattoni Arte 2024 will always hold a special place in my heart as my first exhibition. When time, place, moments, and people align, and a village opens its doors to culture and art, it creates a magical week where the community comes together to live unforgettable experiences. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity. Curator, artistic director Gianni Melozzi selected 12 of my pieces to be displayed in the palazzo, and with art design production director Vincenzo di Antonio, they were beautifully presented in two rooms, evoking the atmosphere of an art studio. The essence of my nature-inspired paintings was conveyed, allowing visitors to wander through a winding path of art."
